The Weather

One of the best things about this region is the weather, with around 300-330 days of sunshine per year it makes the perfect holiday destination.

The area has three very distinctive weather zones but one thing is certain, you can enjoy long hot summers and pleasant winters. During the winter months you can sunbath in the morning and within 2 hours you can be skiing down the slopes of the Sierra Nevada ski resort.

Sun bathing is possible almost every day from the beginning of June right through to the end of September although in recent years the summer season has extended from May through to October. During this time there is hardly any rain and it is possible to wear short sleeves and shorts most of the time including evenings while in the winter months a pullover or jacket is recommended. Playing golf is possible throughout the whole year.

During the summer the daytime temperature can reach around 40°C with lows of around 20°C where as in the winter daily highs reach about 20°C and nightly lows rarely drop much below 10°C.
